In 1999, Zechariah Sitchin raised eyebrows when he argued that our forefathers were an extraterrestrial race from the planet Nibiru in his intriguing book ‘The 12th Planet’. While his radical theory sounds like a scene from ‘Prometheus’, the late American author and researcher’s legacy bizarrely lives on with a leading Los Angeles-based dubstep producer-DJ. In 2006, when John Dadzie decided to switch genres, he took up the moniker of 12th Planet in reference to Sitchin’s work after years as the drum and bass purveyor known as Infiltrata.
Following the release of his ‘The End is Near’ EP earlier this year, Dadzie has continued to make waves in the EDM scene, thanks to his highly rated collaboration with Grammy Award winner Skrillex on ‘Burst’ and ‘Right on Time’. Famed for his bass thumping tempos, grandiose sets and being one of America’s dubstep pioneers, Dadzie has also seen the likes of Rusko and Skream use his production and remixes in recent years.
