It’s time to get really excited; November is proving to be a good month for all partygoers. Superstar DJ Avicii will be returning to KL to headline We Love Asia. When we caught him last year at Heineken Thirst, the Swedish star showed us how he revved up the crowd with his outrageous music talents, and it was one of the best rave parties we’d been to all year.
At the age of 24, Avicii has already performed with Madonna, played at some of the biggest festivals in the world and released a lot of back-to-back hits, including the recent genre-defying hit ‘Wake Me Up’. His latest album ‘True’ features tracks influenced by rock and bluegrass – even country legend Mac Davis makes an appearance.
His chart-topping electro gymnastics are as promising as the young man himself. If you missed Avicii last year, you really shouldn’t miss this – take our word for it. Also playing at the festival are Bassjackers, Congorock and Martin Garrix. Plus, rumour has it that there will be a laser show during the festival. Ian Loh
