Some may say that turning the Free Trade Hall into a hotel is criminal, but the Radisson has made real efforts to do so sympathetically, retaining many of the building's original features. A new extension houses 263 deluxe bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, lots of sleek technology and a marble bathroom.
Suites are named after those who have performed or spoken at the hall, with Dylan and Fitzgerald making penthouse appearances, and Gladstone and Dickens patronising the meeting rooms.
