Time Out says

Over its 120-year existence, the Moulin Rouge has seen showbizz stars, musicians, actors and stately names pass through its doors. Tourists aside, the Moulin Rouge is also iconic for Parisians, who go more for the club scene at The Machine and the rooftop Bar à Bulles that lie within the temple of caberet. Toulouse-Lautrec posters, glittery lamp-posts and fake trees lend a guilty charm to this institution.

On stage, 60 Cancan dancers cavort with faultless synchronisation during 2 hours of sophistocated coreography in the Féerie show. Costumes are flamboyant, the legs kick higher than you would think possible and the 'halftime' acts funny. The only downer is the space, with tables packed in like sardines. Of course, the main event is the evening shows, but there are also occasional matinées.

It's the ultimate French night out. Just add champagne.

Moulin Rouge Paris sells out months in advance, so book at the same time as your flights/trains. Check out a taster of what an evening is like below.
