By day, she's a researcher at IRCAM, the legendary institute for sonic and acoustic experimentation that lurks beneath the Centre Pompidou. But Sir Alice has more than one string to her guitar, for she also dabbles in a kind of cold-wave inspired experimental rock that's equally indebted to grunge and electro. Given her tendency to pick improbable venues – she's a big fan of playing in museums, for example – her gigs can be as engaging and innovative as her music. For this home performance at the Pompidou, which forms part of the Les Femmes s'en Mêlent programme, she'll be joined by the quirky German fashion deisgner Bernhard Willhelm.
