Call For Entries: Love in Penang
If you decide to flex your creative muscle and stay in this weekend, try your hand at writing a short story to submit to publisher Fixi Novo for their next anthology, 'Love in Penang'. This one’s due to be published in November this year. The rules are simple, pen down a story between 2,000 and 5,000 words amid a Penang backdrop before end of this month.

An Evening with the Penang Philharmonic Jazz Quintet
Take a stroll through Gurney Paragon and sway to a jazzy line up on both Saturday and Sunday evening. This five-piece group will also share the limelight with vocalist Nurul, the Penang Philharmonic Saxophone Duo and the Penang Philharmonic Saxophone Quartet. Music will fill the air by 8pm.

'A Silent Beginning' by Louis Gan
You’ve seen his murals around town and last month he unveiled a new one at Lorong Kinta while simultaneously opening his first solo exhibition, albeit a mini one. Well, this exhibition in the PECS building closes this weekend. So hurry over, if you haven’t already.
