It seems to be a weekend of music this time and besides the 1Malaysia Penang International Charity Drive concert filled with stars, there’s also a DJ waiting to rock you all night at a hip night spot. Just don’t miss the Sunday gourmet buffet and an art exhibition opening as well!

An Evening of Jazz at Ben’s, Apr 20
To celebrate UNESCO International Jazz Day, the Penang Philharmonic Jazz Quintet will perform at Ben's in Gurney Paragon. This five-piece instrumental group never fails to entertain and this performance should be a treat. Music starts at 11pm.

My Landscape II Exhibition 2013, Apr 21
Catch this art exhibition of ‘My Landscape’ series that features landscapes of charming countryside to Kuala Lumpur at night through the artistic touches of drawing pencils, watercolour, acrylic and mixed media. Artists on spotlight this month are Chin Kon Yit, Jason Yeoh Choon Seng, Ken Tan Yew Chong, Koh Shim Luen, Lim Kok Hong and Siow Yin Yoong. It’s at Galeri Seni Mutiara and they open at 12pm.

Music at the Garden with the Penang Philharmonic Saxophone Quartet, Apr 21
After a huge Sunday feed, take a stroll around the Penang Botanic Gardens to enjoy a jazz showcase by the Penang Philharmonic Saxophone Quartet. We promise that it’ll be a relaxing exercise during their 40-minute performance. Music begins at 5pm.
