Five places to eat with Mom

Updated: 10 May 2013

Tell Mom she doesn’t have to cook this Sunday and promise her a great, satiating meal. We’ve got ideas for a meal out right here and they range from a real slap-up meal to a casual afternoon out with a tub of fro-yo. Just remember to make reservations first!

32 at the Mansion
Their special Mother's Day lunch will kick off with marinated smoked salmon before a choice of seared red snapper or grilled sirloin steak as a main course is served. Finally, a chocolate and cinnamon tartlet topped with coffee and cardamom ice cream will sweeten the meal. Their dinner option will have an additional soup course of tomato and coconut soup with sourdough croutons.
What you pay: It’s RM65++ for 3-course lunch and RM90++ for 4-course dinner.

G Café
They’re promising a lavish Sunday brunch buffet. A smorgasbord of western and Asian dishes to choose from and what’s more, there’ll be a table full of sweet delights to punctuate the meal too. The brunch begins at 12pm for three hours.
What you pay: RM128++ with free flowing beer, RM88++ for food only and RM44++ for kids under 12 years old.

Fruuze Frozen Yogurt
It doesn’t always have to be a sit down meal and it doesn’t always have to cost you a packet to take Mom out on her day. Here’s an idea, make it casual. Take Mom out for a cool afternoon walk by the marina at Straits Quay and pop into Fruuze on the ground floor for their offer of two medium yogurt with unlimited toppings as long as it fits into the bowl! Make it a challenge and share some laughs.
What you pay: This deal is RM30 and it begins on May 10.

Suffolk House Restaurant
Cream cakes, finger sandwiches filled with smoked salmon, mini chicken pies, scones with cream and jam, are wonderful with their exclusive range of tea. All this is back-dropped by manicured lawns and a heritage building refurbished beautifully. This high tea begins at 2:30pm.
What you pay: RM35++ for Saturday and RM38++ for Sunday. Kids below 10 years old pay RM26++ on Saturday and RM28++ on Sunday.

Invite Mom to give in to her appetite and order anything from Ben’s delectable menu on Mother’s Day. They’ve got almost everything from Asian favourites to comforting western dishes such as pasta and burgers. Then give in to their irresistible dessert menu. Remember, at the end of the meal there’s a chance to receive Sothy’s gift vouchers for Mom.
What you pay: You’d need to spend at least RM100 on a single receipt to receive the Sothy’s gift voucher of skin scope and brightening hand massage worth RM150.
