Originally opened by a Hawaiian in the late 1950s, Mauna Loa has morphed into perhaps the only bar in the Marina that could be considered divey; the crowd, at least, is far more down to earth than you'll find at the Triangle. A pool table, foosball and Pop-A-Shot entertain patrons, but on weekends it's tough to manoeuvre your cue through the crush.
