Temescal Alley

A diverse, well-curated collection of unique and locally-owned specialty shops has sprung up along two pedestrian alleys in North Oakland's Temescal District, making it one of the city's hippest destinations. Peruse hand-made and vintage clothing, jewelry, books and home goods, or savor some freshly brewed coffee while getting a shave. The alleys are pet-friendly and full of amicable artisans, some of whom open up their workspaces to visitors.
