Called 'El Souk' in better days, this 'small world' remains one of the few places to dance in Venice proper. You may, therefore, find yourself on its dancefloor. If you do, you'll be mixing with ageing medallion men, lost tourists and foreign students so desperate to dance, they'll go anywhere.

Was there less than 2 weeks ago and found the atmosphere intimate and the dance floor inviting. My Italian host took me to this hidden gem, when I just did not want to go home and felt like dancing.
