Francis Model

Tried haggling, got nowhere. Sigh. I liked the handbags so much, and I liked so many of the designs. But I am a poor unemployed American, and so I could only get one... a small one... albeit, not the smallest one, but still. I got a crossbody bag with the cross weave design. I liked the tassel on the zipper, but it could have been made better and with better hardware. The lady told me my handbag took about three days to make, and the leather is very soft and supple. It's a delicate bag though, not really an everyday. This is because of two things: it's a cross body bag, so it rubs against my hip/thigh when I'm walking, and the cross weave design gets a little bit wear and tear because of this. It's a very classy looking bag though. And it's funny that earlier that day before I made my purchase, I had wandered in a high end shop that had similar models and the prices were in the thousands.!

Stumbled on their little shop in 2006. Purchased a beautiful black shoulder bag. I am still wearing it and get so many compliments. Excellent quality. Next time I'm in Venice, I will get a few more.

I was wandering around in the rain one day in Venice and found Francis Model and bought the most fabulous handbag I have ever had. The experience was great, the choices were the best I have ever come across and now that I am home, I regret not buying a few more bags....I can't wait to go back and find them again.

I found Francis Model while out on a wander and went back a couple of days later because I was in need of a handbag. I came back with two--their designs and workmanship are second to none and I can think of plenty of designers who'd charge twice as much for half the quality. A real treasure--can't wait to go back
