While you now have to pay to see some of the city's once-free sights like Park Güell or Castell de Montjuïc, many others are now opening their doors and welcoming you in, just stopping short of offering tea and biscuits.

The viewpoint at the CCCB is free the first Sunday of every month, ever since the contemporary cultural centre celebrated its 20th anniversary in spring 2014.

Through the glass wall on the fifth floor, you can delight in the spectacular views of Barelona: the sea, the Barri Gòtic and the Ciutat Vella neighbourhoods, Montjuïc, and Tibidabo and the Collserola tower.

Don't miss your chance to gaze over Barcelona from this building that's something to behold in its own right, the first Sunday of every month, between 11am and 8pm.
