Low ceilings, Gothic arches, subtle lighting and handsome flower arrangements make dining in this former stables a cosy affair, perfect for a date. The menu is almost as enticing, with a creative edge that works in a roast fennel and orange salad but can verge on the fussy - as in the escalivada (roast veg) with fried filo and a goat's cheese foam. Tuna with mango and pak choi or duck magret with mangetout are tasty enough, and lemon mousse with Space Dust makes for a zingy finish.

Classy restaurant with great service, well-prepared food, and generous portions for an extremely reasonable price.
We liked a lot. The decor, waiters, food and the price ... the best we ate in the trip. And a great quantity and quality of wines. It's in the middle of the cathedral, Palau de la Musica, Picasso museum and Santa Maria del Mar. essential for any visit to Barcelona.
