Market gives the appearance of being one of those standardised restaurants, with a carefully-calculated decor and good value for money. You might not find much or authentic features here, but it’s got a lot going for it: a range of dishes that are light, well-made and varied; fast and friendly service, ideal for lunchtimes; a well-designed interior, much of it bathed in natural light; you don’t have to wait long for a table; and very reasonable prices. If you need to take someone out for lunch without ruining yourself, this is the place.
