This place is a well-kept secret in the Eixample neighbourhood. The six-course sampling menu at midday is wonderful, tasty, well presented and extremely original. I particularly like the sweet-salty contrasts and the use of fruit in the main courses. Do book in advance as the place is small and may be crowded. The staff are really gentle and very young but also professonal.

Osmosis is one of the ‘bistronomics’ group of restaurants that proliferated in the city a few years ago. A fairly minimalist interior where all the focus is on good food and service, at reasonable prices. Osmosis is a laid-back place with lots of little nooks and crannies and private rooms for small groups or couples. The lunchtime menu is perfect for closing a deal without subsequent indigestion, and for romantic dinners.
