A San Telmo after-office institution (Buenos Aires lingo for after-work parties), Boutique, formally known as Museum, has been drawing a faithful following of portenos in office attire as well as tourists to it's Wednesday night slot for years. It's the setting that gives Boutique its edge: a cavernous and impressive three-storey industrial building designed by Gustave Eiffel (of Parisian tower fame), with a huge dancefloor to boot. The party starts early by BA standards and descends into a meat market by the early hours, ending at 2.30am, just in time for the office workers to get a few hours' kip. Free entry and happy hour drinks fuel the fun until 9.30pm. The music served up is of the safe '80s and '90s pop variety with a dash of cumbia and reggaeton for good measure.
