Artists Liza Grobler and Jonathan Garnham started Blank Projects with a gallery no bigger than a janitor's storage closet. It's since put on some weight (the pair got hold of the empty space next door and expanded), but the work on offer is still as fresh and experimental as ever. The duo is filling a much needed gap by providing a space for established contemporary artists to let their hair down, free from the usual restrictions of the bigger galleries, while at the same time making room for exhibitions by emerging art stars.
