Though it might seem strange to include a Stellenbosch wine estate on a kiddies' holiday list, Spier earns its place by being one of the few destinations in the winelands that actually thinks to cater for the younger generation. The estate offers a Cheetah Outreach, an aviary for birds of prey, and a large lakeside picnic area with horse rides.
