The grand old colonial dame that is the Mount Nelson tucks up her famous pink skirts and shows a thoroughly modern bit of leg at her sexy Planet Bar. It's fabulous in summer when you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the Nellie's lush garden while sipping real-deal champagne or something from the huge cocktail menu and nibbling complimentary olives and pretzels. There's a full bar menu for bigger appetites, with cigars for afters. The hotel and bar is a favourite for celebrity-spotting.
