Gigantic hanging whale sculptures? Check. Sarcastic neon signs? Check. A sea of art aficionados? Check. Expo Chicago celebrated its opening night on Thursday with the annual Vernissage event, giving attendees a sneak peek at the vast collection of contemporary and modern works that turns Navy Pier's festival hall into a giant art gallery. Take a look at some of the best piece on display before you pay a visit (the event runs through Sunday). You can take one final ride on the Ferris wheel while you're there.
