Apparently, dads just can’t get enough of burgers, steak and beer for Father’s Day. Luckily, there's more to this special day than overloading on a hearty plate of steak and eggs. We've rounded up a list of things to do on Father's Day for all types of dads—from the outdoorsman to the bargain hunter to the guy who likes to eat meats.

Barbeque Brunch. On Sunday, Belly Up Smokehouse hosts a man-brunch with “manmosas” and “bloody man-ly’s,” in case you forgot dad was a man. Chow down on brunch items like smoked brisket hash, pork belly with grits or the meal in a glass Bloody Mary topped with grilled shrimp, candied bacon, grilled cheese, fried pickles, hot links, olives, onion rings and more. (Belly Up Smokehouse, 1132 S Wabash Ave, 10am–3pm.)

Dim Sum Brunch. Treat dad to something other than grilled meats at Imperial Lamian. Try dishes like the rainbow xiao long bao basket as well as special Father’s Day items like su chaofan and wagyu oxtail fried rice. (Imperial Lamian, 6 W Hubbard St, 10am–1pm.)

Family Forage. If your dad has a bit of green thumb, this short guided walk through the city is perfect. Meet at Green City Market and learn about the plants that are growing right around the corner. Make sure to register here. (Green City Market, 1817 N Clark, 9am–11am. $10 child, $30 adults)

Golden Tee Hole-in-One Tournament. Lottie’s Pub gives dads (and everyone else) a chance to win prizes during its Golden Tee hole-in-one tournament. While you're showing off your virtual golf skills, sip on a flight of Not Your Father’s Root Beer (obviously), $6 root beer floats and $4 Not Your Father’s Root Beer cans. (Lottie's, 1925 W Cortland St, 2–5pm.)

Skirt Steak and Eggs. If dad hasn’t had enough meat and beer this weekend, head to Bohemian House for brunch. Order the skirt steak and eggs and also get a 9 oz Pilsner Urquell all for $18. (Bohemian House, 11 W Illinois St, 10:30am–2pm.)

Ties and Steak. The classic fail-safe gift on Father’s Day gets an upgrade. Celebrate pre-Father’s Day on June 15 at the Tortoise Club with a dinner package including a prix-fixe dinner and a signature tie from the Tie Bar pop-up shop at the restaurant. (Tortoise Club, 350 N State Street, 5–9pm.)

Vintage Garage. Make your way to this special dad-centric retro-themed market housed in a parking garage. You won’t want to miss the classic cars parked out front and tons of vendors selling some of your father's favorite records. (Vintage Garage, 5051 N Broadway, 10am–5pm)
