Local alt-country label Bloodshot Records turns 21 this year, which means that it's finally old enough to visit a bar and stop sneaking beers in the basement. To celebrate the occasion, Evanston distillery FEW Spirits has collaborated with Bloodshot to create a small-batch bourbon named after the record label, infusing its flagship bourbon whiskey with cinnamon and clove spice. Limited to about 500 bottles, Bloodshot's Small Batch Bourbon will be available at select bars and retailers in Chicago later this month.

Want to taste the bourbon before anyone else? FEW Spirits will be hosting an all-ages outdoor hootenanny at its Evanston distillery on July 25, featuring craft cocktails, food trucks and live music. Bloodshot acts like Bobby Bare Jr., Banditos and Devil In A Woodpile will be playing tunes throughout the afternoon, while attendees sample the limited edition bourbon. Tickets are just $10, so you'll have plenty of cash left over for some traditional birthday shots.
