Designed to within an inch of its life, the Morgan is, first and foremost, a trendy hotel (the kind of place where one's lack of €500 trainers seems, somehow, to matter) but it is also a very comfortable and attractive spot in which to lay your head for a few nights. The spacious bedrooms are decked out in calming pale tones, with splashes of original Irish art, while the hotel's cocktail bar has tapas, a DJ and an occasional bongo player. On which note, be warned: rooms looking out on to Fleet Street can be noisy in the small hours; ask for a room at the back of the hotel or on one of the upper floors. The hotel also offers apartments with kitchens for extended stays.
