From mid June until the beginning of September, Trinity College provides its on-campus halls of residence as budget accommodation. The 16th-century university could hardly be more central, and there are the added bonuses of stone buildings, cobbled squares and lots of trees. There's a choice of single, twin or double rooms, as well as larger apartments (in Goldsmith Hall, right next door to the campus); not all the rooms are en suite, so make sure you specify what you're after when you book. A continental breakfast is included in the price of a room.
