Penang’s famed club of the same name has arrived in KL with style. Taking over the space of @live, Soju prides itself as a music club inspired by futuristic ideas. Hint: laser lights.
The club seems to be taking the same path as the premises’ previous tenant, offering guests live music entertainment. If you’re familiar with @live, you’ll probably know how the system works here. Live bands, performers and dancers (often from Korea and Thailand) share the stage and perform Top 40 hits and classic singalong songs. And then DJs take over the decks later at night to heat up the dance floor.
So far, their lineup looks pretty promising, with resident bands, the eight-piece Crush Crew Project and Pure Energy, taking turns to entertain the crowd, while Les Femmes, consisting of the best dancers from Europe, will show off their routines choreographed by Amsterdam-based dancer, Carin van den Bosch. On top of that, they also have a special laser show by Laser Monster by Korea with the help of resident DJs Nesh and Kenji. And they’ll be launching another outlet in Sunway Pyramid soon.
