One floor down from a backpacker’s inn, this new spot nails the bare, stripped-back look. The owners did little alteration of the original structure except to hack off the walls to expose the bricks, and retained much of the ceiling and flooring to charming effect. Signature toasties (or open-faced sandwiches) include interesting pairings like green apple and mozzarella, strawberry and cheddar, and grilled chicken with caramelised oranges.
