Time Out says

A self-described “ghetto-fabulous dive bar,” Plaza features Mexican drag acts dancing and lip-synching to Spanish hits, bookended with a few non-drag musical numbers. Think of it as Mexican vaudeville. The crowd is all over the map, representing gay, straight and everything in between, so the chance of anyone feeling out of place here is highly unlikely. With an ambience that’s sparkly and straight out of the 99 Cent Store, the atmosphere always feels festive and playful. Cheap drinks aplenty.

This Ghetto Fabulous Nightclub will have no less than the Diva of Folklorico Music from Mexico performing live with Mariachi for over 30 consecutive years. Rozenda Bernal has been featured in over 100 Mexican Films and produced over 50 albumns. She is a National treasure of Mexico, and for Mariachi Lovers it is within this Mid size venue that you will have the best time. It's not a Mega Nightclub, nor does is want to be, it's a safe place where everyone can go and see and party with friends for reasonable prices. Voted one of the best places to have a Birthday Party in Adelante Magazine in 2012, and was voted Best Drag Show in 2007 from Los Angeles Magazine. Come see why hundreds of tourists love this place after visiting their famous neighbor, Pinks Hotdogs just down the block at the corner of Melrose Ave and No. La Brea Ave.
