Bon Appetit released their list for America's Best New Restaurants 2015 this morning, and four LA eateries have made the cut: Petit Trois, Alimento, Jon & Vinny's and Gjusta. Curated by editors Andrew Knowlton and Julia Kramer, the list was pretty geographically inclusive; the fact that LA received almost as many nominations as New York City is a promising sign that our food scene is getting the recognition it deserves.
On August 18, the list of nominees will be narrowed down to the top 10, including their #1 Best New Restaurant of the Year. Last year, Grand Central Market made it to the top 10 list and in 2013, Alma won the coveted top spot. Last year's winner was Rose's Luxury in Washington, D.C.
