Yes, my little yentas, spread the word: one of the nation's biggest Jewish singles event is coming to Los Angeles on December 24 to help the chosen people choose their people.

Matzoball began in a Boston bar way back in 1987 (founder Andy Rudnick met his wife at one of his own parties), and has since grown to boast responsibility for more than 1,000 marriages, plus "countless hookups and friendships," which, hey, we'll take.

This year, Matzoball's 29th annual event will be held at the Room in Hollywood. Festivities kick off at 9pm, and mostly consist of making eyes at fellow singles ages 21-49 over the cash bar (boo) while a DJ plays past midnight. Tickets are $30, dress code is "fashion-forward" and while roughly 90 percent of attendees are Jewish, the event is open to anyone without plans on Christmas Eve.
