Great Sand Sculpture Contest

Amateur and professional sand sculptors meet at the Granada Beach Boat Ramp (1 Granada Ave) in Long Beach for this annual competition. Competitors incorporate his year's theme—“Literacy”—into their creations, while all proceeds go towards promoting childhood and adult literacy in the Long Beach community. Be on the lookout for Kool-Aid Man, whose eponymous parent company sponsors the contest.
