This Romanian film has nothing to do with yoga, but rather deals with a wealthy Bucharest matriarch trying to shield her son from a hit-and-run conviction. The movie—equal parts thriller, family drama and black comedy—centers around her obsessive motherly love after her 30-something deadbeat offspring kills a child in a deadly car crash. She resorts to bribery in her attempts to influence the police, eyewitnesses and even the victim's family. The recent critically acclaimed film will run for a week at the Nuart.
