Weekend

Weekend is a group originally from San Francisco that evokes old bands from dreary England. Although the band is young, it was a long time in the making—singer Shaun Durkan and guitarist Kevin Johnson joined creative forces when they were only 12. The now-Brooklyn trio will air its fuzz-bathed, gloomy-yet-driving indie rock and post punk at the Echo. Expect to hear songs from its recent sophomore album, Jinx, which boasts a cleaner, more melodic sound than previous efforts.
