Time Out says

Constructed in 1993, the Honda Center can squeeze in up to 17,000 Anaheim Ducks fans during hockey season—though that number is roughly halved when the venue gets converted into an amphitheater-style seating for musical guests, which have included Barry Manilow, Madonna and U2.

What’s on

The Offspring

  • Punk and metal

Come out and play at this 30th anniversary show of Smash, which the pop-punk band will perform in full at the Honda Center.

Janet Jackson

  • Pop

After a stop last year at the Hollywood Bowl, Janet Jackson returns to town with a pair of arena dates—and a relentless stream of late-’80s hits—with support from Nelly.

Jennifer Lopez

  • Pop

The short version: J.Lo is coming to town for concerts at both the Forum and the Honda center. The longer version (deep breath): The iconic singer and actor is in the midst of her three-part This Is Me… project, a document of the return of Bennifer that includes her latest record, This Is Me… Now, as well as a musical film adaptation dubbed This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, all of which factors into this tour, titled—you guessed it—“This Is Me… Now: The Tour.” But, you know, you’ll probably still hear her sing “Jenny from the Block” and “Let’s Get Loud” so that’s cool.

Jelly Roll

  • Folk, country and blues

Country singer/rapper Jelly Roll swings by Anaheim and DTLA on his “Beautifully Broken” tour.

Usher

  • Rap, hip-hop and R&B

If you got it bad—a bad case of nostalgia for Usher in the wake of his Super Bowl performance, that is—then you’re in luck as the R&B singer is coming to town this fall. Yeah! Usher will play a run of shows at the Intuit Dome, the new Clippers arena in Inglewood.
