Cool was always too stylish to be dominated by the straight crowd. And so it has come to pass that it now has a mainly gay following. Once you get beyond the stainless steel and the sweeping ramps of the entrance, there are two upstairs lounges, one complete with wall-mounted plasma screens overlooking a large and heaving dancefloor filled with hundreds of muscle-boys. Thursdays see the Sunflowers session, for a smartly dressed mixed crowd, while Fridays and Saturdays see the muscle-boys take over at the gay night Royal.
