It's difficult to forget the soundtracks for Jane Campion's film 'The Piano' and the one for 'The Draughtsman's Contract' from director Peter Greenaway. Both were created by Michael Nyman, one of the most innovative and renowned British composers, who this month is in Madrid to play a live concert in the Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII, as part of the Festival Madgarden. An evening in which this author of operas and pieces for string quartets and orchestras will, of course, be accompanied by his piano.
