The Maderfaker was born in 1996. Three years later it became a jazz-funk club, and since then it's been an essential stop on Madrid's funk and jazz circuit. The club focuses mainly on music of the 1970s, and club sessions mix up funk, dancefloor jazz, soul and boogaloo. The décor is also original and particular to The Maderfaker. The walls bear original posters from Blaxploitation films filled with those fashion gems from the '70s, enormous lapels, platform shoes and afros.
