Mesón del Cid Restaurant is located in the neighborhood of Chamberi. Opened in 1989 as an extension of the famous Meson del Cid in Burgos. The cuisine of Jesus Lopez uses top quality raw materials, combining traditional dishes with very successful innovations, and desserts, homemade and very suggestive. Little by little, Jesus has been marking his own style, with a fresh and light menu, where the stronger dishes are not forgotten in the winter, when you can taste every day a different stew, on Tuesdays the Madrid¬-stew, on Thursday “Pochas” with lobster and other dishes of outstanding taste. Special mention for the roast lamb from Burgos being the star dish of Meson del Cid. Other more creative dishes are: sweet sausages, roast cod in juice of lamb, blood sausage caramels and pork stuffed with foie and mushrooms, pork stuffed with truffles, almond ice cream in puff pastry with orange caramel, chocolate fondant and pistachio nuts, Burgos cheese with honey and walnuts. Excellent wine cellar with more than 300 references of different denominations.
