Miami is a young city and perhaps no area embodies the wild optimism of youth better than the Design District. This place is pure confidence and style. To some locals, it feels like the Design District popped up in the blink of an eye. One day it was just an unremarkable stretch of land in a sleepy area of Miami, the next a fashion mecca on par with Paris. The Design District is undeniably here now—and it’s impressive, to say the least. Aside from its world-class roster of retail shops (Gucci, Versace, Givenchy and Balenciaga just to name a fraction), the Design District is now also home to some of the best restaurants in Miami, one of the best museums in Miami and a future full of promise.
