Miami's best all-rounder, Aventura Mall boasts all the biggies: Bloomingdale's, Macy's, JC Penney and Sears. It will soon sport a Nordstrom as well as a slew of other trendy names including Juicy Couture, Michael Kors and Ted Baker, among others. In addition, there's a 24-screen cineplex and restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory and Johnny Rockets.
It's easy to get to from South Beach, as several buses terminate here - it's just a hell of a long ride. Although command central for middle-class mall rats, Aventura Mall attracts the odd star too. It's a particular favourite of Michael Jackson, who showed up one night sans entourage to buy some chocolate at Kron and stirred up a frenzy among shoppers. Britney also caused a stir there. Just before she shaved her head, she picked up a minidress for the occasion at Bebe, teenybopper boutique du jour, which closed the store especially for her.
