It's either your idea of a great laugh or a toe-curling cringe-athon, but whichever way you slice it, Le Six is unlikely to leave you bored. Punters are encouraged to communicate with each other by phone (interconnected handsets are strategically dotted around the bar), so if the one next to you rings, the idea is that you pick it up and conduct a good-natured, flirty conversation with whoever's on the other end. But for those who would prefer to keep their dignity more or less intact, there's always a programme of above-average live music to enjoy, plus an ornate 18th-century ceiling to stare at while studiously ignoring the phone.
