Deep under Wenceslas Square in what looks like an imperial bedroom, Carioca was one of the city's best jazz joints in a previous and altogether rather different life. The baroque red and gold setting remains, but the new management has installed a cabaret: dancers with top hats and canes alternate with strippers in what could almost be entertainment for a date (with the usual high drink prices).
