Time Out says

Uncompromisingly modern designs, extremely comfortable rooms and an unbeatable rooftop view set the Julian apart from the rest of the luxury set

A seriously impressive, very contemporary hotel in the heart of Prague, the Julius combines warm, Scandinavian-inspired design with an unmistakably Czech vibe. In terms of location, you’re not going to do much better than this, what with both the Old Town and also the hipster enclaves of Karlin and Zizkov being just a walk away. The 168 rooms, all rendered in the same autumnal tones as the restaurant and lobby, are spacious and comfortable, especially the suites featuring cushy living rooms, kitchens (complete with microwaves, toasters, ceramic hobs and toasters) and tons of storage. It’s hard to fault an ambitious place like this, especially when it’s so well-realised and so well-run.

Time Out tip: It sounds obvious, but the extensive breakfast buffet here deserves a special shout out. A delicious and stress-free way to start the day. Don't miss out.

Nearby:
Hybernska Kampus: Hidden inside a courtyard, connected to a gallery called HYB4, this place has a great cafe and bar, as well as an arty, chill crowd.
Lokal: A chain of trad beer halls which all serve old-school Hungarian food. Shnitzels, goulash and pilsners in a jofully rawkus environment, basically.
The Old Jewish Cemetery: One of the oldest burial grounds of its type in the world. A fascinating, thought-provoking place, right in the middle of the city’s must-visit Jewish Quarter.
