As you might expect at this shrine for Mozart lovers - where, as they'll endlessly remind you, Don Giovanni and La Clemenza di Tito had their premieres - there's a steady stream of the Austrian's works. But the theatre, built by Count Nostitz in 1784 and now fully restored, also offers interesting lesser-known work: Gaetano Donizetti's Don Pasquale and Theodor Veidl's Die Kleinstädter, for instance. Much of the programming is given over to theatre, but there's still regular opera - including, of course, Don Giovanni.
