It's rare to run into a true San Francisco native, but that doesn't mean it takes transplants long to fit in. In fact, we just came up with nine things that become second nature to anyone in San Francisco longer than a month. What's become an SF instinct for you?

1. Complaining about MuniIt takes an average person 3-4 rides on Muni to get fully ticked off with the system.

2. Caring deeply about farm-to-table diningAnd a willingness to wait in line for said dining.

3. Handling every part of daily life through a smartphone appJob? Check. Relationship? Check. All meals? Check.

4. Drinking cheap beer or fantastic beer, and nothing in between. I'll have either a Tecate or a handcrafted microbrew from my startup's kegerator, thanks.

5. Finding your friends amongst the crowd at Dolores Park. Like a homing pigeon. Also smuggling in that cheap or fantastic beer.

6. Connecting with free WiFiIf there is not free WiFi available, we're basically unable to function.

7. Remembering to bring a sweater. Because San Francisco is always colder than she looks. Always.

8. Getting annoyed with touristsWe can't blame them, but tourists walk too slow and take forever on a BART escalator.

9. Living off 25% of your income because 75% goes to rent. If you're lucky!
