With Cypress comes a view of the Lions (two landmark Vancouver peaks) from the Sky chair, or of Mount Baker, Bowen Island and the city from the Panorama run. The peak is set to host the snowboarding and freestyle skiing competitions of the 2010 Olympics, so it's undergone a makeover with a new high-speed quad chair (Lions Express) up the east face of Black Mountain and another nine new ski trails, opening up almost another half of the mountain to gravity freaks. There are quite a few black diamond runs (the most difficult) on the slope but they are short-lived.
