Teatro a l'Avogaria review Rate it
This experimental theatre (entry to which is by voluntary donation) was founded in 1969 by renowned director Giovanni Poli. It was at the Teatro a l'Avogaria that he continued the experimental approach he developed in the 1950s. Since his death in 1979, Poli's disciples have pressed on with his experiments, staging works by lesser-known playwrights from the 15th to 19th centuries. Places must be booked at the number above between 2.30 and 4.30pm. The theatre opens its doors 15 minutes before performances.
