Banlieue is a dance show that cleverly blends traditional African dance and contemporary dance based on Roland Fichet’s texts. This show, by the Senegalese choreographer Alioune Diagne from Diagn’Art company, is both relaxing and intense. Accompanied by two dancers Madiba Badio and Seydou Camara, they show us the lives of three young men torn between recklessness, carelessness, laziness and rebellion, a situation that many young people from the suburb undergo. These universal themes with a touch of humor will captivate audiences of all ages and from all backgrounds. The Noyam African Dance Institute will perform during the first part of the show
