A story as good as it is true: brother-and-sister team Xavier (owner of the Carrot Café, and former Via Veneto maître d') and Asun Uñó spent their childhood holidays on the island of Nantucket (Massachusetts), where they fell in love with American cakes and pastries. In a charming corner of Sarrià, where their grandfather used to run the La Plaza bar, the siblings have set up Chis & Keik, an artisan workshop where they make the New York–style cheesecake (and carrot cake) from their childhood memories.
You may think you know cheesecake, but nobody does what Chis & Keik do in Barcelona: they have a hundred variations of the stuff in their repertoire, from the classics to inventions like the 'Elvis forever', with peanut butter, banana and crispy bacon. Plus they have cakes for all occasions. Got a kids' party? How about the 'Pink Panther' cheesecake? An over-the-top chocolate craving? Try the Ferrero Rocher and Nutella!
