[title]The festival in El Vendrell remains faithful to its original premise: to honor Catalonia's most universally acclaimed cellist with a programme built around his instrument. The inaugural concert features the young Russian cellist Aleksandr Buzlov, one of the soloists in the Mariinsky Theatre orchestra, who will play a recital with pieces by Bach, Ligeti, Hindemith, Solima and Gaspar Cassadó, a disciple of Casals.
